In today’s industrial age, seldom do people notice the pollution in the environment; one has to wonder how many diseases we can get from our surroundings. Even children today learn at an early age what they see from the television. Smoking has been one the habits of many young people today. Sometimes we even see people as young grade school students smoking outside their school premises. Of all the prestige they see from smoking one has to wonder do they know that they are starting to incur a possible ailment they will have soon in the future, which is lung cancer.

Lung cancer survival rates have been very slim to people in this day and age due to the various factors that contribute to its development in our body. The best way to improve our lung cancer survival rates is to stop smoking. Smoking contributes a huge amount to developing lung diseases and much more cancer. We should remember that if we have seen some signs of cancer we should not be afraid and notify a doctor about what we have experienced.

Since early detection could improve our lung cancer survival rates to a 90% chance. The more we tend to let things pass us by the more drastic the tumors could get lessening our chances of survival. As we know it a stage four lung cancer can reduce the lifespan of a person to just 8 months. We should always remember that the key to our lung cancer survival rate to increase is to live an active lifestyle. We shouldn’t always follow what we see in television. We should always be pro active when it comes to our health.
