Lung Cancer

In the age of information super highway, Mankind today as young as children have been greatly affected by the information they read or watch in television. The young generation today are influenced heavily by what they see that look cool in television. Smoking and drinking minors can be found everywhere today. Cigarettes are greatly abusing the lungs of minors as young as elementary school students in today’s age. With that said and all the pollution in the air today no wonder lung cancer may be stalking this generation as we speak.

Lung cancer occurs when there is an uncontrolled growth of cells in the lung that results to malignant tumors that could spread towards others tissues or systems of the body. A stage 4 cancer can spread to the brain down to the prostate gland as well. In recent studies 90% of the causes of lung cancer come from tobacco or cigarette smoking. Not only do smokers give themselves a problem but also passive smokers who don’t really smoke have a risk of having lung cancer due to inhalation of the smoke. Not all cancer starts from body abuse though, lung cancer can be acquired hereditary from first generation ancestors who had lung cancer as well.

Lung cancer survival rates is relatively poor. We should realize the fact that lung cancer is a dangerous disease. We shouldn’t abuse our body with all the things we see in the television. We must know that not everything we see is not what we get. Sometimes the stuff we see in television might harm our body without us knowing it.
